NewJersey Pine Barrens
It’s hundreds of square miles of pine trees, the more subtle beauty of a pitch pine, the reclaimed cranberry bog, the plants that live only in the pines, the nearly forgotten ruins of once prosperous towns. It’s the wild flowers, abandoned tracks, the cedar water, the iron slag, the cedar swamps, and the wildlife from pine snakes to coyotes to bald eagles.
